Access eGovernment Workshops

Intro to eGovernment - 45 minutes to 1 hour presentation.
Intro to eGovernment provides a basic introduction to
eGovernment including:
  • what other governments are doing
  • what citizens want delivered on an eGovernment Web site, security and privacy
  • how to get started (or restarted) designing and maintaining a dynamic and useful eGovernment Web site for your citizens

eGovernment Hands-On Tour - 4-hr hands-on training
Participants in this 4 hr. hands-on computer training

  • Explore existing eGovernment Web sites to learn how other governments are using eGovernment to deliver information and services and organize their sites for various groups of users
  • Learn how to evaluate eGovernment Web site design
  • Learn options for sourcing their eGovernment Web site
  • How to put together a team to develop and implement an eGovernment project

Participants will receive a 127-page eGov Reference Manual.

Over 50 Penn State Cooperative Extension Staff across the state are prepared to deliver the Access eGovernment programs. Access eGovernment programs are available in every Pennsylvania County.
